CC Renewed For Seasons 8 & 9, New Lilly – April Fool

It has been announced that hit CBS TV show Cold Case has been renewed for 2 more seasons taking the show into 2012. Although not mentioned in the announcement options on a further 2 seasons are believed to be included.

However, Kathryn Morris has decided she wants step down as Detective Lilly Rush to concentrate on her movie career. Morris is hoping that the free time she has by not making 22 episodes of the TV drama will allow her to be involved in as many as two minor films roles per year.

Despite several past seasons of Cold Case ending with Lilly on the brink of death Lilly will not be killed off or written out. Instead, Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell will step into Lilly’s work-appropriate shoes.

Cold Case creator Meredith Stiehm said in a statement, “The team are so pleased that CBS has shown such faith in the show by renewing for two more seasons. It saddens us to announce Kathryn’s departure, we wish her well in all her future endeavours, she will be greatly missed as a colleague and a friend. However, the show will continue without her and we welcome the wonderful Kristen Bell to take on the role of Detective Lilly Rush. We will take this opportunity to send Lilly in a new direction. We expect Kristen’s involvement will lower our age demographic significantly, bringing in more of the iGeneration than ever before.”

“Congratulations to the everyone involved in Cold Case”, said Executive Producer Jerry Bruckheimer. “After a couple of difficult seasons the ratings for later half of season 7 proved what a powerhouse this show is. Record breaking numbers each week. CBS has promised to give us a new timeslot more in keeping with the success we’ve been having. 1am Saturday is the new 8pm Sunday.”

Kathryn Is A SXSy Thief? – Update x3

We may have to revise our opinion from the previous post

A couple of days ago Asher Levin (writer and director of the movie Mother’s Little Helpers) said he, and a few other people, were going to the South By Southwest Festival (SXSW 2010) this weekend. A later Tweet confirmed they are there to promote Mother’s Little Helpers and that Kathryn was one of those going.

Today a fellow attendee came forward to report a crime and Kathryn has been named as the doer. It’s not going to take Lilly Rush to solve this crime:

Update 2: Asher has posted another picture of Kathryn in Texas as SXSW. Huge thanks to him for responding to my request for more.

Update 3: Asher has posted yet another picture. Not sure where or when this was taken but I’ll take a guess at it being a Texas airport on the 17th March as they leave SXSW.

MLH – The Parties Are Over – Update x2

The latest Tweet from Asher Levin, posted yesterday (Sunday) morning:

That must have been sent early in the day because a later one from Sarah Hyland suggests that filming one scene got delayed until today:

Sarah_Hyland: Martini shot. Then home!!! Last scene pushed till tmrw. No awkward scene on vday anymore!! – Link

So that’s that for the filming process. Now they go into post and the build up to the release, currently planned for December. Hopefully they’ll be more info soon. KM UK will certainly be keeping an eye out for news and reporting on any found.

Mother’s Little Helpers – Hot Hot Hot

The most recent Twitter message from Mother’s Little Helpers writer/director Asher Levin gives us little hope for much more Kathryn related stuff until nearer the film’s release. More’s the pity.

If that’s the case then we’d better make the most of the latest costume test image that’s surfaced. And there’s a lot to make of it that’s for sure 😉

It looks like they’ve taken the best bits (the sparkly dress they liked and the legs) from all the previous outfits and combined them into one. Plus, they’ve thrown in some bare shoulders and cleavage for (very) good measure 😉
