There’s Nothing Trivial About Kathryn

IMDb LogoA few days ago the Internet Movie Database (IMDb) posted a trivia question about the film Moneyball on their Facebook page.  See it HERE.

As with so many good questions the answer they were after was “Kathryn Morris” :-)

The question in question was: This actress was cast as Billy Beane’s second wife in Moneyball, but her scenes were cut from the film. Can you guess the actress?

Many of the commenters got the correct answer but I’m not sure that all of them were taking it seriously.  Betty White?

Of course, I could be wrong :-?   What do you think the correct answer is?

Is This Kathryn In Moneyball?

screenshot_001Several TV trailer videos for Moneyball have been released in recent days.  One, known as Defy The Odds, might very well contain the first evidence of Kathryn starring in the movie.

Just for a bit of fun I’ve added a simple Yes/No poll below to see if you think it is Kathryn.

The video, now in the Gallery, contains a very brief shot of Brad and a mysterious blonde in what appears to be a restaurant.  Brad speaks but we hear nothing from the woman and there are no other shots from the scene in the video.  An HD screenshot from the video is in the Gallery.

Based on previous images we’ve seen of Kathryn on set it seems reasonable to jump to the conclusion that it is her.  Robin Wright (as Billy Beane’s first wife Sharon) has straight hair and Kerris Dorsey (as his daughter Casey) has a shorter, darker style.  The white and black top the lady above is wearing is even in keeping with some of those photos.

Of course, just because a shot is used in a trailer does not mean it will be in the film.  Hopefully we will get more concrete information very soon.

We are only two weeks away from the movie’s world première at TIFF and a month away from the general release in north America.

Vote Kathryn

51st Monte Carlo TV Festival LogoWe’ve frequently been able to see that the French people appreciate Kathryn very much, a sentiment we certainly concur with :-)

Further proof of this is the French TV network TMC and magazine Télé 7 Jours giving viewers a chance to vote for the “actress and actor of the most glamorous series of 2011″.  This includes Kathryn for Cold Case, presumably she is eligible because new episodes of CC are still being broadcast.  In some way this is connected to the annual Monte Carlo Television Festival due to happen in early June, an event that Kathryn has attended several times in the past.

First Photo Of Kathryn On The Set Of Moneyball?

onset_001_20100803We’ve had it confirmed by the lady herself that she is actually in Moneyball, but we’ve yet to see any real evidence of it. Well that might be about to change.

It’s small, grainy, and you can’t see her face at all but this (see right) could very well be the first image to surface of Kathryn on the set of Moneyball.

The photo was taken early last month from the stands of the Oakland Coliseum by one the extras there to fill the stands with baseball fans.  I believe the day matches one that Kathryn had been mentioned as being there by one of the extras.  The blonde woman was not the focus of the image and was only caught on camera by accident.  The woman appears to be just walking past and is not taking part in any scene being filmed.

So, is it Kathryn?

The body shape is definitely right ;-)   The clothes look like the sort thing Kathryn would wear, though they could be part of wardrobe for the film.  The hair is more “shaped” than Kathryn normally wears it, but, again, it could be that way for the film role.

I am waiting to hear from the photographer before I post any more about it so for now I’m only going to post the image you see here, with no link to anything in the Gallery.  However, it is not much smaller than the original so you are not missing much at the moment.  I will, of course, update with any further information I receive.

Vote Lilly – The Fairest Of Them All

Just a quick post for a bit of fun.

Gaelick, an Irish website by/for “lesbians, bisexual, gay and transgender ladies”, is running a poll about female cops on TV.  Kathryn is, of course amongst them.  They want to know who we think is the favourite.  I think we all know the correct answer to that :-)

At time of the writing Lilly is winning.  Let’s keep it that way :-)
