AOAHSP Blu-ray Release

poster In a not entirely surprising move it looks like Assassination Of A High School President will be a getting a US release on Blu-ray disc as well as DVD, report Blu-ray.com and DVD Times. Though with the way this movie has been treated in the year since it premiered at Sundance getting any sort of release is a surprise.

Extras will apparently include:

Deleted Scenes with Optional Commentary
Filmmakers’ Commentary
Alternate Opening Scenes
Deleted and Alternate Scenes

Hopefully at least one of those deleted scenes will see more of Kathryn as Nurse Platt. A full HD (1080p) version of the brief appearance we already know about will be worth seeing anyway.

The US release is set for the 6 October 2009 which is a week earlier than previously thought. No news, yet, on a UK release date.

Julie & Julia & Kathryn – update x4

Kathryn attended a special screening of the new movie Julie & Julia by Nora Ephron yesterday (27th July 2009). Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Stanley Tucci are amongst the stars of the film.

As usual Kathryn looks amazing: a vision in white jeans and a simple top.

Paycheck – Full HD Screencaps

10 minutes in and we’re Dunne. Rita Dunne that is. That’s all we get of Kathryn, starring as Rita, in the sci-fi movie Paycheck, which stars Ben Affleck, as Jennings, and Uma Thurman.

Well, when I say “that’s all we get”… we actually get quite a lot more than we might have bargained for in that brief time. The rest of movie is very mediocre but that first 10 minutes is well worth watching. Kathryn completely steals the show.

Rita initially appears to just be a corporate lawyer tasked with supplying Jennings with the facilities he requires to do the job he’s been contracted to do to earn his paycheck (see what they’ve done there?). The task is to reverse engineering (and it’s a very backward view on such work) a rival’s product so this company can make their own, better version. Once completed Jennings will have his memory of this time wiped to protect him and the company. Rita, however, has a plan of her own to leave an indelible mark on him.

She fails, but in spectacular fashion, leaving us, the movie viewing public, with some unforgettable scenes. Rita Dunne gives us a whole new perspective on Kathryn, and what a delightful view it is 😉

The Prophecy II – Screencaps & Video

They were clearly saving the best til last with this one.

Well nearly the last.

Kathryn gets less than half a minute of air-time in this one, and some of that is out of focus in the background. It is not As Good As It Gets short, but it is not far off. She doesn’t make it on screen until some of the final scenes. You couldn’t really leave it any later than that.

Billed just as Anxious Mother, Kathryn speaks briefly with Valerie Rosales, the lead character as played by Jennifer Beals, about being worried letting her daughter go away on the school bus.

AI: Artificial Intelligence – Sunday

Kathryn in a very brief appearance, totalling less than 20 seconds of screen time in the middle of the film, as the interestingly named Teenage Honey. Well quite! Not exactly a teenager, but definitely a honey. Nothing artificial and plenty of intelligence too 😉
