Here we go, kicking off the 2014 edition of KM UK’s Summer Of HD 2014, where we bring you new, bigger screencaps from a specially selected season of Cold Case.
So, where to start? Rather than being all conventional and beginning at the beginning, we’re taking a more random approach this year, with you the reader able to vote for episodes you want to see next as we go along. Our first winner was Willkommen, episode 18 of this year’s chosen season: number 3.
And what most comes to mind when we think of Cold Case? That’s right: amateur actors… Only joking
Willkommen brings up the 2002 murder (the episode aired in May 2006) of an amateur actor who was taking part in a production of Cabaret. The cast list for the episode shows that the actors involved were anything but amateur. Several had previously done Cabaret on Broadway. The lead actor (aka, the victim) Adam Pascal was in Rent with our very own Tracie Thoms.
The episode ends with a funny scene as the squad meet up at a bar and Vera, inspired by the case, breaks into song.
173 Full HD (1080p) Lilly screencaps are now in the the Gallery.
Kathryn’s first public appearance of the year that is. Let’s hope it is the first of many. It is so great to see her again.
As reported previously the short film The Coin was screened at the Newport Beach Film Festival yesterday (26th April) and all our wishes came true because Kathryn was in attendance.
As you can see she was there with Fabien Martorell (co-writer/co-producer/director of the film), Will Kemp (co-producer/actor) and young Jack Ryan Shepherd (actor).
It’s just occurred to me that in a couple of weeks time (Sunday, May 11th) it will be Mother’s Day in the United States Of America.
Those of us in the UK don’t make our mothers wait so long, we get it done in March
As you may have noticed this website is dedicated to a certain special lady (I realise it is only subtly referred to ). This year she gets to celebrate Mother’s Day for the first time as a mother herself. No doubt she’ll be receiving two cards with suspiciously grown-up, yet child-like, handwriting from two boys that, let’s be honest, probably haven’t quite mastered the finer points of calligraphy.
With just two weeks to go do you think you (yes, you) could come up with some suitably themed fan art to publish here on the day?
It’s been a while since we did fan art here and it would be a wonderful way to revisit it and celebrate a new occasion at the same time. The KM UK Gallery, which includes an extensive fan art section, contains thousands of images you could use as a basis.
You can contact me via the normal methods or upload your works of art using the form below.
Last year’s Summer Of HD was based around season 2 of Cold Case because you, dear reader, chose it in a poll. I’ve got the post to prove it, so don’t deny it. The bad news is it that that means you get season 3 this year.
The good news is that KM UK’s Summer Of HD for 2014 is all about season 3 of Cold Case
As most of you will be familiar with by now the Summer Of HD is a chance to revisit Cold Case and update the site’s Gallery with new HD screencaps covering Kathryn’s role of Lilly in the show. Along the way they’ll be a few extras thrown in.
In a new twist for 2014 you get to decide which CC episodes we do. OK, we’re still doing them all but you get to have some say in the order they are posted. Yay! for you! Each week there will be poll with three episodes to chose from. The poll will run for one week and the winning episode featured the week after that.
So, this week we run the poll for Summer Of HD week 1. Chose your favourite from the three below. Next week come back to vote for week 2. Seven days later the first of our episodes posts will include the poll for week 3. Got it? Then let us begin our journey:
