Back at the beginning of January we reported that the French TV station RTL and the weekly Télé 2 semaines magazine were running various polls to determine the fans’ favourite actors, actresses and TV shows.
On Monday the results were posted and it was, sadly, not good news for Kathryn.
The foreign actress category that Kathryn featured in was won by Stana Katic from Castle. She took the prize by 4.5% from Jennifer Morrison of Once Upon A Time. Kathryn didn’t make the top 3. And we thought the French people really liked her.
Nathon Fillon, also of Castle, took first place in the equivalent male category, beating out competition from Hugh Laurie (House) and Simon Baker (The Mentalist). Clearly the French people do like Castle, and why not, it is a very good show.
However, Esprits Criminels, which we believe is Criminal Minds, just pipped Castle to the foreign TV show award by 0.5%. So close! As Richard Castle would probably say.

The thing is, Castle and Once Upon A Time were on , on TV every week during that poll (OUAT for season 1 and Castle for season 4), whereas CC hadn’t been on since this summer. I love KM and would have voted for her anyway. I think maybe Castle and Once are more popular among teens. When I said at school, at 17 -18 (the others were 15-16) that I liked CC and, -certainly also because it was me- some mocked. The other thing is, télé2semaines is a TV programme magazine, and you have no way to know about their polls if you don’t buy it or read about it on a website such as here. Hadn’t Rich wrote an article, I would have never known. I mean that magazine isn’t that popular.
Oh and Esprits Criminels is Criminal Minds. They always have to translate. Sometimes from english titles to…other english titles !! Stupid isn’t it ?

Can one really say,that this is surprising that Kathryn wouldn’t contend,for the top spot!! Lets face it,until the recent release of TSSOL,on The Hallmark
Channel,its been quite a while since we have seen Kathryn in a good role!!
Kathryn has been gone from the public viewing audience, for almost 3 years!! That’s a long time in the film business,to have done nothing significant,to speak of!! I don’t consider: Cougars,Inc.,two indie’s she’s completed,Sunday’s Mother & The Coin!! Her best work,by any stretch of the imagination!! Not that I’ll manage to see but,I’ll refrain,from comment regarding 2BA/1BA,until it comes out & we know more about it!!
