Sunday’s Mother @ Brownfish Short Film Festival

More Sunday’s Mother festival news.

The short film Sunday’s Mother, which stars Kathryn as the mother of the lead character Sunday, has been accepted, appropriately, into the Brownfish Short Film Festival NYC 2012.

Taking place between the 2nd and 4th of November in New York, the festival is the work of the Brownfish production company. It was created to help filmmakers showcase their work.

The 15 minute long Sunday’s Mother will be competing for Best Drama with five other films. There are five more categories and 22 films in total. Congratulations and good luck to Sunday’s Mother.

Sunday’s Mother @ Phenom Film Fest Tomorrow

phenomfilmfest_100x150 Back in May the short drama film Sunday’s Mother starring Kathryn, Chase Ellison, Riley Smith and Brian Norris received it’s première at the Newport Beach Film Festival.

Tomorrow (Friday, 7th September 2012) and Saturday sees the 15 minute short film Sunday’s Mother get another festival screening, this time at the Phenom Film Fest, based in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Like the Newport Beach event, Sunday’s Mother will be shown in a themed block of seven “Drama Short Films”. The latest version of the Phenom schedule shows that there have been some changes to the line up and timings. Now totalling 1.5 hours, instead of over 2, the block gets its first airing at the East Bank Theatre at a new time of 13:30, moved back by 15 minutes. Saturday’s repeat showing at the Marriot Courtyard remains at 17:50.

Sunday’s Mother is a short film about a boy (Sunday) suffering at the hands of a bully. Kathryn plays Gillian, the boy’s mother. It was filmed last year after raising funds via the Kickstarter website. KM UK is proud to have been involved in the fund raising effort and supporting this film.

Sunday’s Mother @ Phenom Film Fest 2012

phenomfilmfest_100x150 Sunday’s Mother, the short film Kathryn made last year, has been submitted to the Phenom Film Fest for 2012.

The Phenom Film Fest takes place in Bossier City, Louisiana, over four days in early September. More information can be found on the event’s website HERE.

The film was made the “short film submission of the week” by the organisers yesterday (22 July 2012) just before the time to submit entries closed.

Sunday’s Mother Premières Today

Today (1st of May 2012) the short film Sunday’s Mother is due to première at the Newport Beach Film Festival in California.

The film will be shown with 5 other films in a collection titled “Don’t Cut Your Family Short” at 4pm local time. To quote the official blurb from the Festival Genius website (which also has details of the screening):

After moving to a new school, Sunday is confronted by a bully who claims he has a scandalous secret about his newly-divorced mother.

Kathryn stars as Gillian, that newly-divorced mother.

Sadly, according to our information it is unlikely that Kathryn will be attending the screening.

Day 4 of the 2007 Sunda….

Sorry, I drifted off there 😉

Where was I? Oh yes, Day 4 of the 2007 Sundance Film Festival, which fell on the 21st of January, saw Kathryn attending more those merchandise hawking “lounges”. Let’s see, we’ve got her:

Trying on sunglasses, checking out cosmetics, clothes and bags in the Backstage Creations Retreat.
Looking absolutely adorable in a furry hat in the Gibson Guitar & Entertainment Tonight Hospitality Lodge.
Posing with products and people, including the gorgeous Heather Graham (see above)… sorry, I went again… in the Kari Feinstein Style Lounge. A lounge that actually allowed some lounging in a really big old armchair.

Plus, Kathryn did a group interview with her Resurrecting The Champ co-stars in the Hollywood Life House. Just looks like Hollywood Life magazine has taken over, and renamed, a café to me. But I’m not a hip Hollywood media type so what do I know?

And to get from A to B sometimes you have to go via M, M for Main Street of Park City, Utah so we have a few shots of Kathryn “out and about”.
