Anyone Present To Present A Present?

Present_128x128 You’ve got to love the English language sometimes.

The same word three times in a subject, each one means something different (adjective, verb, noun), and it makes sense… ish.

As we head far too quickly to the festive period I thought, just for a bit of fun, I would ask our dear readers (that’s you) a question.

If you were able to give Kathryn any Xmas present, what would it be?

It can be large or small, cheap or expensive, practical or fun (Xmas presents should really be fun gifts though), personal to you or widely available.

I’d write down my idea but I think you’d immediately see through it as more of a present (every Xmas and birthday ever combined) for me 😉

Cold Case DVD boxset is not allowed either because that would be for you too ‘RichE’ is an acceptable response

You can include Johnny and the twins in this of course if you wish.

Xmas Advent Calendar 2014

Blimey Charlie! It’s December already!

What happened to the other 11/12ths of 2014? It’s gone so quickly.

The KM UK Advent Calendar has been resurrected for another year but what is the theme for 2014?

After doing this for a few years coming up with a new idea for a set a pictures was proving quite difficult. Then I thought of the popular phrase “Keep it simple, stupid”, aka KISS. And then it hit me! Right in the kisser. BOOM! It was staring me in the face.

Yes, for 2014 we’re putting the X into Xmas with the theme of kissing.

What could be a better message for a season all about bring joy to others than such a wonderful show of affection for our fellow man and woman?

As is the tradition, each day a new image will be revealed in the Advent Calendar album in the KM UK Gallery. Each picture is taken from Kathryn’s film and TV work and will involve her in some lip-action. Not entirely comfortable viewing for some of us of course

The Advent Calendar is now available in the Gallery. A direct link has been added to the main menu on the right and it will remain there for the duration.

Happy 4th Of July 2014

Who had the brilliant idea of having the 4th of July on a Friday this year? 😀

I would imagine that productivity has been at an all time low in the US with the week-long party held in the lead up to such a big day for the nation.

For those of you still sober and conscious, and to Kathryn and her family, Happy Fourth Of July.

KM UK Awards 2014

RichE Medal Last year’s KM UK Awards saw the introduction of the “I ♡ KM UK” teddy bear, aka the ‘RichE’, as a replacement for our traditional statue. The recession made the gold figurines too expensive and we’d run out of the substitute silver medals we used for the 2012 awards because of the wholly unexpected success of Team GB at that year’s summer Olympics. We’ll be dinning out on that one for decades! Team GB has done OK at the Winter Olympics so far but I doubt it will be quite the success we had in the summer of 2012. As a nation we tend to just stop when it snows

Due to popular demand (and the recession is not over yet, they’re still a lot cheaper, and we have soooo many still left over) the bear is back for 2014! Yay!

Yet again we’ve beaten the BAFTAs (Feb 16th) and the Oscars (Mar 2nd) to the punch. Losers!

Unbelievably this is the fifth time we’re running this event.

KM Birthday Fan Art?

In just over 3 weeks from today it will be a certain special someone’s birthday. I think you know who I am talking about

We haven’t had a fan art update in nearly a year now so how about we revive it for the special occasion? We’ll call it the “Let’s Do Some Fan Art For Kathryn’s Birthday” thing. Hopefully after such a long time you have lots of pent-up KM fan art ideas.

The first rule of the LDSFAFKB thing is you must talk about LDSFAFKB.

The second rule of the LDSFAFKB thing is you must talk about LDSFAFKB. Spread the word to all your artistic friends.

On the special day (28th Jan) all the items will be added to the KM UK Gallery. Some examples will be used in the birthday post, with one lucky person getting their image used as the banner image for the item. Think of that as the prize, because that’s all you’re getting Above you can see the chosen item from last year by Dianekmfan.

Other than that the normal fan art ideas apply. It can be anything you want to make. It could be a banner, desktop wallpaper, avatar, a general picture, or a even a video. To get your works to me either email them directly, use the Contact form to let me know and I’ll get back to you ASAP, ~~or use the upload form below~~. Any time between now and then will be fine. Other than the obvious there is no real deadline on this.

The Fan Art section of the KM UK Gallery is chocked full of previous fan art created specially for and donated to this site by visitors. There are over 700 items in there already. The Gallery is also crammed to the rafters with images (over 60,000 at last count!) you can use as the basis for your masterpieces.
