Cougars, Inc. DVD Press Release + Poster?

PosterLionsgate, the distributor of Cougars, Inc., have issued a press release regarding the upcoming DVD & Blu-ray versions of the film. It confirms the 10th May launch date in the USA and even gives prices for the two different disc formats.  Various sites are now listing the movie has being out on that day.

You can read the full press release after the jump.

As if that was not enough we also have a likely candidate for poster and box art (as shown on the right), though this maybe for the European version only. The image is small but You can still see that the dresses Kathryn, Denise Richards and Catalina Rodriguez are wearing and the stairs they are standing on or near are the same as in the photoshoot the ladies did a few months ago. The dog and Kyle are clearly superimposed, as is the framed picture of Jim Belushi in the background.

The image is in the Gallery.

Update: Image replaced with larger version.

Cougars, Inc.

Love. Sex. High school tuition. All of these come together in the hilarious DVD, Blu-ray Disc, Digital and On Demand debut of Cougars, Inc. The all-new comedy about cashing in on an untapped dating market stars the Emmy®-nominated* comedian Jim Belushi (TV’s “The Defenders”), Denise Richards (TV’s “Blue Mountain State”), Kyle Gallner (A Nightmare on Elm Street) and Sarah Hyland (TV’s “Modern Family”). Both the DVD and Blu-ray Disc contain never-before-seen special features, including audio commentary with the cast and crew, and “The Ultimate Cougar” featurette.

Kicked out of every high school across the country, Sam (Gallner) steps up to help his mother pay for his education when times are tough – but he’s doing it his way. Along with his friends, Sam launches Cougars, Inc. – an escort service that allows a generation of women trying to hold onto their youth a second chance at love.

It’s sad that Kathryn didn’t get mentioned in the press release. How dare they snub her, she deserves to have that credit too.

1984 for Outstanding writing, um shouldn’t it be 2010 which is when the movie was filmed. It wasn’t filmed in 84…

    • You might want to re-read the item and re-think what that line means and what it refers to.

      • Icywinter2

Does it have to do with an SNL skit or something. I’m not getting it, I’m sorry I really am..

        • That last line is a footnote that relates to the * in the main piece (next to “Emmy®-nominated”). They are explaining that the Emmy nomination Jim Belushi received was in 1984 for “Outstanding Writing in a Variety or Music Program” on the show “Saturday Night Live”.

Thank you so much it clears up the confusion :-) I just don’t like that they didn’t mention kathryn, it’s like she’s not as famous as the rest of the cast or as important. It’s just stuck me as odd.

Words cannot describe how excited I am for this movie. Oh, and if they use “Don’t Trust Me” by 3OH!3 AT ALL in this movie’s soundtrack, my life will be complete. <3 (:

  • Icywinter2

@Lolly- Is that a new group, I’m just wondering. I never heard of them ever.. Your excitement is great, for this movie :-) Remember KM has another one coming out in theaters in September.

Two KM movies this year, now that’s something to be happy about :-)

They’re relatively new; they had an album out in 2007, one in 2008, and one in 2010. They didn’t have any singles off the 1st one, and the first single off their second album, “Don’t Trust Me”, didn’t become popular until around April of 2009. I had heard of the song way before, though. (:

I’m so excited for Moneyball. I really think this could be Kathryn’s big break into the big movies. Then we can be all pretentious and say “I liked Kathryn Morris BEFORE Moneyball”. 😉 Hehehehe. Just kidding. (Sort of). :)

@Lolly- You forgot about their collaboration with Kesha.(‘My First Kiss’; ‘Blah Blah Blah’). I like these songs, especially ‘Blah Blah Blah’. :)

I’m glad my iPod didn’t post the last comment…

@Small Barbie I love that song!!! Another good one for Cougars, Inc. 😉
Oh man, I have a feeling that this movie is gonna have SUCH a good soundtrack. 😀

  • Lolly

My iPod just loves to crash Safari when I’m gonna add a comment… This is like the third time today.

    Anywhooooo,
Speaking of a movie soundtrack, is it possible that they’ll release one? One can only hope. :)

  • Icywinter2

@Lolly- Kathryn’s been in Bigger movies before. Minority report and AI.

@Smallbarbie- I doubt this movie will have teen pop songs in it. Doesn’t seem like it will, probably have some wild rock theme to it. considering the name of the movie.

  • Icywinter2

@Lolly- You could always twitter Asher the director to find out the soundtrack. I’m sure the music will be on I-tunes.

  • Lolly

I’m not saying that they’ll definitely have them in there, just that the lyrics are perfect for the movie and that it would be amazing if they used them. (:

    • Icywinter2

@Lolly- Just don’t be disappointed if they don’t. Whatever it is, all it matters is that Kathryn is in this movie :-)

I just hope it’s a good movie, I am going to see it. Who knows I may end up liking it. I Just need to order it on netflix on the day when the dvd is released.

  • @Icywinter~ Don’t worry, I’m up for any music they’ll put in the movie. :)

@RichE~ I just installed it this morning! It runs perfectly, but I haven’t tried posting with it yet. I think it might also have something to do with the low battery level I had. :)
