USA Network‘s “Colony” has added Adrian Pasdar and Kathryn Morris as a married power couple in its freshman season, Variety has learned exclusively.

Pasdar will play Nolan, a smart, savvy and important player in the politics of the occupational government. He’s married to Morris’ Charlotte, a well-heeled cultural director and patrician in the Green Zone, the affluent area of an occupied Los Angeles. Both roles are recurring.

Perhaps best known for his role as Nathan Petrelli on NBC’s “Heroes,” Pasdar previously appeared in USA Network’s “Political Animals” and “Burn Notice.” He’ll next be seen in feature film “Coming Through the Rye” alongside Chris Cooper. Morris is making her return to series television following her seven-season run on CBS’ “Cold Case,” which wrapped in 2010. She can next be seen in “Bone Tomahawk” opposite Kurt Russell, and Screen Gems’ “The Perfect Guy” with Michael Ealy and Morris Chestnut.

Set in the very near future, the series centers on one family’s struggle to survive and bring liberty back to the people of an occupied Los Angeles. It stars Josh Holloway as former FBI agent Will Bowman and Sarah Wayne Callies as his wife, Katie. After being separated from their son during the invasion, Will and Katie are willing to do whatever is necessary to be reunited with him.

Pasdar is represented by the Gersh Agency and managed by Will Flaherty; Morris is repped by Atlas Artists and Gersh.

“Colony” is a co-production between Legendary Television and Universal Cable Productions. Nelson McCormick (“24”) also serves as executive producer.
