Annual HD Update – 2007 (Part 2)

The cars take a back-seat now as Kathryn steps onto the red carpets in the second of our 2007 public appearance updates as part of KM UK’s Summer Of HD.

Just over 3 years ago Resurrecting The Champ got its big première. All the cast were in attendance and we’ve got 11 photos upgraded to full size from the event.

Next the Primetime Emmy awards. Kathryn presented an award with Cold Case co-star Danny Pino. No awards for our gal but she looked stunningly statuesque in her long red dress. 19 updated images across the 3 sub-albums covering the arrivals, on-stage and press room.

Ironically it appears that thanks to global warming meant that Kathryn didn’t feel cold in late October, arriving up at the Environmental Media Awards in a short dress on the back of a scooter. Very green. Not the scooter. Me. Green with envy. Envious of the scooter 19 updated images in this set.

Things were definitely cooler for the Fred Claus première. Fake snow is probably required in LA in early November though. A further 10 images get upgraded this time, some are now huge!

And to finish off may I wish a Happy Labor Day to our American visitors.

Annual HD Update – 2007 (Part 1)

2007 was a very busy year for Kathryn making public appearances. This update, the latest in the KM UK Summer Of HD, covering the first part of the year has a strong motor racing theme running through it.

Kathryn was invited to take part in the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race event, a support category for the main ChampCar race at the Toyota Grand Prix Of Long Beach. This involved a training day, a press day, a glamorous gala (some of my favourite KM photos) and the race day itself. Kathryn even got a brief cameo in The Girls Next Door show at the same event, as previously covered. There are now 19 new/upgraded to larger sizes images across those four albums.

A slightly more tenuous motor racing link for the next set. You hear the name Monte Carlo and you immediately think of casinos and Formula 1 cars. The diminutive principality also hosts an annual TV Festival. Kathryn attended various events to promote Cold Case in Europe. For this update 36 images from two photocalls get the “embiggening” treatment. A slightly red in the cheeks Kathryn in 12 photos here and Kathryn very much enjoying herself in front of the press in 22 photos here.

Annual HD Update – 2006 (Part 1)

It’s was very much awards season in the first half of 2006 for Kathryn as she made several public appearances at a variety of events. This week KM UK brings you another pair of Summer Of HD updates, making the biggest and best versions of the photos available.

So what do we have for you this time?

The Costume Designers Guild Awards saw Kathryn in a great off-the-shoulder red dress posing for some quite enigmatic shots (see above). The smile couldn’t help but put in an appearance though It’s the last 5 in the set, the photoshoot ones that have been upgraded.
Kathryn looked very cute at Prism Awards with her simple hair-down style and long dress. Bigger versions of the final 2 photos have been posted.
A more glammed up Kathryn went to the Country Music Awards to present a trophy. It’s the press room and portrait shots we are concentrating on here as they get the full-sized treatment. Just the last 3 of the arrivals but all 8 portrait shots get boosted.

Here’s the second part of our Summer Of HD updates covering Kathryn’s 2005 public appearances.

The three events here really span the whole gamut of outfits. Simple jeans to full-on fairy princess dress. From the sublime to the sublimer, or perhaps that should be the sublimer to the sublime

I don’t think we get to see Kathryn in the likes of the CDGA dress again until last year’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards But, as the other two sets prove there is almost nothing that beats the classic jeans and t-shirt combo. Though I’m not sure Kathryn has got the jeans on the right way around in the “Idol” finale shots. Unless that peculiar buttoned flap is supposed to be at the front…

Annual HD Update – 2004

The year: 2004. The event: The People’s Choice Awards. The look: very, very cute

This set of photo upgrades (part of KM UK’s Summer Of HD posts) covers the People’s Choice Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards of 2004. Kathryn is always this person’s choice but there is no way Kathryn could win a sag award

I’m not sure about the white and yellow SAG Awards dress, maybe it was all the rage in ‘04, but the simple black number and the hair style for the PCA’s… Wow! And there she goes again with that smile…

All but one photo in each of the sets has been upgraded to a larger size.

Was it really 6 months ago? It only seems like last week.

Even if only 7 days had gone by it would still be worth re-visting this event, if only for that award winning dress. KM UK Award winning that is

Kathryn sounds a little horse as she speaks. You know what it’s like: you get all these women together in their fancy frocks and shoes and they just can’t stop talking. It’s a wonder the ceremony started at all! Or maybe she was a bit under the weather She should be tucked up in bed… hang on… no, I spelt that right

The smile, oh the smile, is still very much still in evidence

Anyway, 47 exclusive screencaps and a small video clip covering Kathryn’s presenting on the show have been added to the Creative Arts Emmy Awards 2009 gallery album. Enjoy.

KM @ Pre 2010 Oscars Event – Updated x3

Don’t know whether Kathryn will be attending the actual awards ceremony tonight but she was at a pre-event do last night. This is Kathryn at the Academy Awards Style Lounge along with Cold Case cast mate Thom Barry.

KM UK Awards 2010

With the SAG; Golden Globe; Grammy; Choice, both Critics’ and People’s; The BBC Folk and the Australian Grand Dairy Awards having gone by already this year and with the BAFTAs and Academy Awards (aka the Oscars) just around the corner it is clear that we are well into awards season. So KM UK is going to hitch a ride on the statuette giving bandwagon too.

Kathryn Morris UK, in association with… hey, we don’t do sponsorship here, at least not with out a load of cash up front… brings to you the first annual RichEs. (And it’ll be the last if this doesn’t go well.)

Of course I only called the award the RichE so I could talk about Kathryn finally getting her hands on the little RichE she so deserves

The KM UK Awards 2010 look back at the events of 2009 to recognise the highs, and lows, of the year.

Please take your seats, turn off your mobile phones (this is the UK so no cellphones here), extinguish any naked flames and check your popcorn bucket is full. Winners please remember that you only have a short time to make your acceptance speeches. Go on too long and we will turn up the music and send in the dogs

Best Actress

Let’s start with an easy one: Best Actress.

And the winner is… Kathryn Morris.

Not exactly a surprise this one. Her body of work over the past 20 years has proved what a skilled and versatile actress she is. If no one else is going to present her with such an award I’ll give her one.

Next up we have the award for The Most Entertaining TV show.

And the winner is… Bones.

Possibly a controversial choice around these parts but it has to be said that Bones is consistently entertaining. Not to take anything away from Cold Case because they are very different shows. We need to find away to make a Lilly Rush / Bones crossover!

Sadly this category only has one nominee this year giving it a win by default.

So, without further ado the Best Film Starring Kathryn Morris Award goes to… Assassination Of A High School President.

A special award this one, named after the character in Assassination Of A High School President also known as the Best Actress Starring As A Healthcare (Un)Professional Award.

Onto the technical section with the Best Makeup Award.

“Best” makeup you say? You may think is a bit of an odd choice based on some comments made here but bear with me.

The winner is the Cold Case Makeup Team for regularly managing to make the natural beauty that is Kathryn Morris look… so much less so. That takes real skill, effort and dedication.

The FHM shoot is disqualified for a lack of costume. Tempting as it was to go with the nurses outfit from AOAHSP, or some of the tighter trousers (that’s ‘pants’ to our US cousins) on Lilly or Saccardo’s t-shirt as worn by Lilly, we are going to make this about the red carpet outfits.

Kathryn wore some great outfits at various events over the course of 2009 giving us lots of strong contenders for this award. I’ve narrowed it down to just 3. The nominees are the red dress at the Terminator: Salvation Premiere, the black & white number at the CBS/CW Press Tour event and who could forget the strapless dress at the Creative Arts Emmys.

I’m sure you’ll agree that it was not an easy choice for the judge (that’d be me) to make at all. Having studied all the photos in great detail a decision has been made.

The award goes to… the Creative Arts Emmy Awards dress.

Moving not too swiftly on we need to cover the opposing award to Best Costume. Yes, it’s the Worst Costume Award.

I am happy to report that this was not a crowded category. Across the 8 significant public events that Kathryn attended only one stood out as something of a fashion mistake. The dress and the hair-do combined to do the normally well turned out Kathryn no favours.

It can only be the red dress and odd hair-do at the Environmental Media Awards.

Oddly enough the same event 2 years before gave us one of Kathryn’s less successful outfits (nice legs, shame about the face). Must be a “green” thing.

You love me! You really love me! I want to thank the panel for giving me this award. It means so much more that it was chosen by you, the judge. I didn’t see this coming so I don’t have anything prepared… I want to thank… my family, without whom I’d not be here. My friends for making me the centre of their universe. No, don’t start the music! I WANT TO THANK… WHERE’D THOSE DOGS COME FROM?!?! ARRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHhhhhhh!

And finally, to bring this inaugural event to a close, the Contribution To KM UK Award. First of all I want to thank you all for all your contributions to KM UK, you make it what it is, but I wanted to take this opportunity to pick out one or two of you that have gone above and beyond.

Lester, thank you for alerting us to the FHM photos, they were truly “game changers”, as people seem to say these days. Celina, thank you for your generous contribution.

However, the award for Best Contribution To KM UK has to go to Zoé of ColdCasePedia. She has provided graphics (including the site logo), images and been very generous to me personally. I think we all owe her a debt of thanks, I know I do.

Sadly Kathryn couldn’t/wouldn’t be here to accept her awards so I’ll just keep them all to myself

Lounging Around With Kathryn – Update x2

Lounging around with Kathryn is certainly an appealing idea

Yesterday (16 Jan 2010) Kathryn attended an event related to the 67th annual Golden Globe Awards, due to happen later today.

This sort of event I’m not so keen on. It just comes across a bit… tawdry. I know that lots of celebs do endorsements but this seems to be a case of throwing them into a room of stuff and photographing looking at things. Nothing official.

Anyway, enough of the negative. Let’s concentrate on the positive. Photos! Of Kathryn! 5 photos of Kathryn in the HBO Luxury Lounge have been added to the Gallery. There were other “lounges” focusing on different types of products, hopefully photos from them will be added later.

It’s a much more down to earth looking Kathryn than we’ve seen at recent events, and she’s no less lovely for it. That’s probably how she looks most of the time. Me likey!

I Choose… You Know Who – Update x4

It may be freezing across the UK but Kathryn managed to makes sure things were hot in LA last night. And long may it continue… the gorgeousness that is. Not the snow in England, which is getting a bit tedious.

Yesterday (6 January 2010) saw Kathryn attending the People’s Choice Awards 2010, and she looked amazing, of course!

Turns out that Kathryn did more than just attend, she co-presented two awards with Heroes star Greg Grunberg.

10 HQ and a couple of smaller images can now be found in the Gallery. Hopefully they’ll be more.
