It’s an item from a recent edition of Star magazine in the USA. I don’t know but I’m guessing Star is a tabloid-style gossip rag, so hardly the most reliable of sources. The “story” was posted as a small insert alongside a larger piece about Brad’s missus, Angelina Jolie, spending time with a mysterious female. It is a lot of unsubtle nudge-nudge wink-wink stuff. I’m not putting a huge amount of faith in the content but you never know. It is what it is. Read the text from the piece is after the jump.

Too Close For Comfort?

Angelina recently shot a racy nude shower scene with Johnny Depp in The Tourist, but now it’s Brad’s turn! The actor, currently filming Moneyball in L.A., has a steamy sex scene with his attractive costar Kathryn Morris, 41. Kathryn’s character Tara, the second wife of Brad’s character, Billy, provocatively poses for him, dishes a source who has read the script. “Brad starts touching her all over her body and tells her, ‘I want to have sex, I want to have sex right now,’” says the source, noting, “It’s really raunchy!” And the chemistry between the two is undeniable. During a test shoot, “Brad was stuttering and blushing when he was around Kathryn,” reveals the source. “He was clearly nervous.” Looks like Angelina’s not the only one with a new crush!

Interesting…

The film’s script has a complex history that makes it difficult to know how true this might be. An early draft apparently included a scene involving Billy and a waitress, but that one was rejected as too far from reality. A later version is said to have been a more documentary-style film. Prior to the filming beginning the original screenwriter returned.

I can see that starring in a Brad Pitt movie, especially as she is playing his character’s wife, is going to put the spotlight on Kathryn in the coming months.

A scan of the Star article, from which the image above was taken, is now in the Gallery.

Big thanks to Sammie for her assistance.

UTA Signs Kristin Davis Away From WME

By Nikki Finke – 13 April 2010

EXCLUSIVE: WME also lost actor Terence Howard yesterday and recently Cold Case star Kathryn Morris. As for Sex And The City’s Kristin Davis, she’d been with Endeavor and then with William Morris before the merger of those two agencies. I’m told it never sat well with the actress that she became a pawn before the formation of WME Entertainment. You may recall that I reported a year ago how frustrating it was for William Morris to “pump its chest like crazy” over its talent department even though Hollywood knews it had been weakened by agent layoffs and client defections. At one meeting, WMA agents were boasting about having just signed Kristin Davis. The Endeavor agents were seen rolling their eyes, and Ari Emanuel and Patrick Whitesell were overheard saying quietly to the other, “Didn’t we fire her?” Davis, whose Sex And The City sequel comes out in May, has yet to sign for the threequel. I hear UTA is banking on negotiating some major coin for her as well as other projects. She is managed by Mosaic’s Dave Fleming.

KM_UK: Hoping to be proved wrong about @kathrynmorris1 – Link

It’s been over a week now since Asher Levin (director of Kathryn’s forthcoming movie, Mother’s Little Helpers) “Tweeted” that Kathryn had a Twitter account. It’s been 4 days since I posted the above Tweet (that still doesn’t sound right to me).

Unfortunately I’m left still hoping.

I’d like to explain the reasons behind my comment and few thoughts on the issue.

Kathryn’s Twitter account is apparently @KATHRYNMORRIS1. The use of the “1″ on the end of the name is not proof of anything other than the fact that @kathrynmorris and @kathryn_morris were already taken. With so few characters available for use in Twitter account names (only alpha-numerics and the underscore) and there being more than one Kathryn Morris in the world, the options were limited.

The case (upper- or lower-case) of the account name is not important. Twitter is not case-sensitive about account names. @KATHRYNMORRIS1 is just the same as @kathrynmorris1, @KathrynMorris1 and @KaThRyNmOrRiS1, as those working links prove. You can change the way it is written at any time in your profile. You can address a message to any version, it will still work.

The fact that the account is not “Verified” isn’t significant. The point behind the verified accounts is to protect people against others impersonation, and to assure followers that they are not being fooled by a fakes. Obviously this is more likely to happen to a celebrity. Twitter, the organisation, are still trailing the use of the verified account feature. Lots of “celebs” do not have their accounts verfied, Demi Moore (@mrskutcher) for example, and she is one of the biggest “Twitterers” there is.

At some point quite recently Asher Levin changed his Twitter account details to show his name as “KATHRYN_MORRIS” and his bio, or notes, field says “actress”. Why change this? I can only assume that it was an attempt to attract more people to his account or a test to see if a pseudo-Kathryn account could be set up. I raised the this with Asher by Tweet and after initially not seeming to understand my point he ignored my follow-up. The account is still that way at time of writing.

The lack of posts. It strikes me as odd that nothing at all has been posted by @KathrynMorris1 in the past week. I can understand that many people have created Twitter accounts and then not known what to do next. You think that a “hello world” type message seems pathetic and you’re unsure about posting a comment to a celebrity you like, so you don’t post anything. Later you find a friend has a Twitter account so you send messages to them.

In this case however, we have someone with a guaranteed immediate following. Asher must have noticed that so many of the MLH-related Tweets he’d been getting had been references to Kathryn. In that situation you would think you would leave announcing to the world that Kathryn had an account until such time that she was in a position to post an initial “hello”.

So, where does all that leave me? Confused, that’s for sure.

Why aren’t any of the major stars of MLH following Kathryn? Why isn’t Asher himself following Kathryn? Why isn’t Kathryn following anyone? I personally Tweeted (that definitely sounds wrong) Denise Richards (@denise_richards) about Kathryn joining Twitter and no response. She’s not following Kathryn.

My feeling is that the account was primarily created by Asher himself, though I’m sure that Kathryn is well aware of it. Perhaps Kathryn was supposed to use it but declined at the last minute, or wasn’t available. Perhaps the speed by which fans locked on to it took them by surprise, the intention being to use the account when they next do some publicity for MLH.

Nearly everything above also applies to the account for a Graham Larson (@GRAHAM_LARSON), producer on MLH, that Asher announced at the same time as the Kathryn account.

I still hope I’m proved wrong though.

… of how great Kathryn is.

Kathryn gets a brief mention in new interviews with a couple of co-stars in some of her recent work, Cold Case and Mother’s Little Helpers.

First, IGN UK Edition has an interview with wrestler “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. I’m not at all familiar with his work but he is due to appear in this Sunday’s new episode (in the USA) of Cold Case, One Fall, playing… a wrestler. Quite a stretch for him no doubt He seems more than a little impressed by Kathryn’s work ethic.

Roddy Piper: Yes, I am. And he’s quite a character too. It was a lot of fun. Those people were great and Kathryn (Morris), the star of the show, she was really got into it so much and she spent extra time on the episode and she was crying like a baby. Bless her heart, man. In the turnarounds, when she was off camera doing her lines – instead of talking about the character’s son, she’d talk about my son, Colt, who’s a mixed martial artist. So that kind of heart was put into it. And they’re just unbelievably kind people. It was a real thrill to do it. And it was a hard part to do. It was very deep.

Secondly, What’s On TV.co.uk has a “quick chat” with Lost star Rebecca Mader. Rebecca, an English girl, has recently wrapped filming of Mother’s Little Helpers with Kathryn.

“I’ve just done a really funny comedy called Mother’s Little Helpers with Kathryn Morris from Cold Case and Denise Richards. It is about these women who are married and miserable, and these teenage boys set up an escort service for them. It is really silly and so funny.”

With great affection

A tradition has it that Valentine’s Day cards and gifts are sent anonymously from a “secret admirer”. Sadly, this modern age of instant results and restraining orders has seen the loss of that more innocent age. And not adding my name to the message above hardly brings it back. Plus, it is far from a secret that I’m an admirer.

I hope everyone is able to be with someone special today.

I’d really like to claim that the image above was something I had toiled over for long hours, working in only the glow of my laptop screen, mouse’s laser scorching heart shapes into the desk surface, just to express my feelings in jpeg form. Sadly I can’t. Zoé made it for me. And at very short notice. It’s the thought that counts though, right? Right?

Thanks, yet again, to Zoé. Here are other samples she submitted. I could not let them go to waste by not posting them. I’m sure you’ll agree that they are all great work.

Best Wishes From KM UK

It would be ungentlemanly of me to mention a lady’s age, so I’ll just say that our favourite person is between 40 and 42 years young today (28 January)

I’m sure I can speak for all the visitors to this site in saying, Kathryn, we hope you have a wonderful day and a great next 12 months.

Party on the Cold Case set? My invite must have got lost in the mail Why does that always happen to me

I’m sure Kathryn got lots of lovely presents, but if you were giving her a birthday present what would it be?
